    This is an OOAK felted sculpture using the finest roving wool.
    Absolem’s vignette is 13”tall and the combine whole sculpture is 25” tall. Joe MacPhale has felted this marvelous blue caterpillar in delicate and meticulous fashion using the finest and smallest needles to achieve the maximum detail on this sculpture.
    Eyes are made out of glass and acrylic. The color is achieved by Joe’s own special formula. A clear lens is applied to enhance the depth of field and give the natural vivid look and expression.

    Absolem is wearing a gold plated hand made monocle and a hand made real lens that yield the result of a vivid magnified Blue eye. His true legs, antennae and tentacles are made of Prosculpt.

    Joe MacPhale have use the finest acid dye in conjunction with a double action airbrush to achieve the final color details on this amazing felted sculpture. A brass armature has been use inside Absolem to assure the correct and permanent posture.

    Absolem is portraying here in his famous pose as he address Alice while smoking his hookah. The hookah hose has been carefully design using brass and silver mesh wire with a 24 carat gold triple plate. The hookah it self is cast in the finest clear resin and hand painted to mimic the one use on the Tim Burton Alice movie.
    Power by to sets of 8 AA batteries, Joe MacPhale have design a fully electronic timing device to produce real smoke coming out of this meticulous engineer hookah.

    The whole vignette seat on a lacquer cover wooden base, and mimic the scenery of the floor forest cover on Whisperland.

    Absolem is surrounded by tall grasses, rocks, and mosses that give him the true scale finish to his forest home. The whole vignette is design to be taken apart for easy packing and transportation.

    This felted OOAK piece is the final top piece collection for the avid enthusiast and collector of Alice memorabilia.
